The legendary F-series of trucks has answered the challenge of drivers for generations. The 2022 Ford F-150 continues that tradition. The latest version of the flagship Ford pickup is there for you, whether you’re on the job, on vacation, or on a long-distance road trip. See why it’s time you became one of the many drivers getting behind the wheel of an F-150.

2022 Ford F-150 Basics

Seventy-four years. That’s how long the Ford F-series has been gracing the American road, setting the standard for light-duty, full-size pickups in this country for three-quarters of a century. F-150s can handle virtually any task thrown at them, taking on all road conditions from the interstate to the cobblestones, and the most challenging off-road conditions, from uneven fields to mud, snow, and ice. If you have some serious work or fun ahead of you, the F-150 has your back.

Trim Levels

The 2022 F-150 comes in nine trim levels, with the brand new Lightning joining the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, Tremor, and Raptor. Whether you need to navigate city streets; haul materials and workers to job sites; feed and fence to farms and ranches; livestock to fairs, rodeos, and equestrian meets; boats to the water; or dirtbikes to mud, there is an F-150 specifically designed to “get ‘r done.”

New/Unique Features

As mentioned, Ford added the economical, sport-and-leisure-oriented Lightning to the F-150 family this spring. The stylish, monochromatic “Black Appearance” theme can be had with XL, XLT, Lariat, and Platinum trims, and Atlas Blue is now included among color options for every trim. On the practical side, the King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited packages come standard with the Bed Utility package’s tailgate step and locking cleat-style tie-downs, which is also optional on the XL, XLT, Lariat, and Tremor.

Powertrain

Five different engines are available across the F-150 line, ranging from the 290-horsepower 3.3 liter V-6 to the 400-hp 5.0-ltr V-8, including the 250-hp 3.0-ltr diesel. Ford also pairs its 400-hp twin-turbocharged 3.5-ltr V-6 with a 35-kilowatt electric motor in a new hybrid model. Every F-150 features a ten-speed automatic transmission, delivering the purchaser’s choice of rear or four-wheel drive.

Maximum towing capacity ranges from 8,200 to 14,000 pounds, while the payload tops out between 1,840 and 3,250 lbs, depending on the powertrain package. The diesel can haul up to 12,100 libs, slightly less than the hybrid’s 12,700 lb capability.

Interior

Room and comfort abound, whichever F-150 suits your needs. On the technical side, drivers can opt for the 12.0-inch touchscreen command center over the standard 8.0-inch model. The Ford Sync 4 software powers both. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay also come with every trim. A nav-system, wi-fi hotspot, Sirius XM radio, and Bang & Olufsen speakers are all optional.

Whether you have work to do or outdoor activities to enjoy, the F-150 is the perfect machine to transport you and your equipment to your destination. Contact or come into AutoFarm Price Ford for a test drive today.
