When you are in price, UT, there are some really fun things to do. All of these local attractions are within a short driving distance of our historic town. The whole family will fit in your Ford Expedition, which will carry you in comfort to any of these interesting spots.

Prehistoric Museum

This museum is inside Utah State University Eastern at 155 E. Main St. It’s six dollars a person to get in and $17 for families, and is a fascinating spot with a small play area that your kids will enjoy when they get a little tired of learning. If you care about dinosaurs, or you have a child who does, this is the place for you.

Here you will see dinosaur skeletons, examples of rock art, and interesting revolving exhibits like Horns and Tusks, which is an amusing collection of animal fossils and skulls and the fascinating types of headgear prehistoric humans made from them.

Basso Dino-Mine Adventure Park

This little park is located at 1050 E. 7th N and has playground equipment that will fascinate kids of all ages. There are also good food options nearby here as well as well-kept restrooms. There’s plenty of room for the kids to spread out here, and the toddler section is well designed in particular.

This isn’t just slides and swings. You will also find obstacle courses, lots of crawlspaces, climbing spots, ladders, bridges, and more. There is also a good picnic area, a skate park, bike trails, and a basketball court.

Brynder Pioneer Museum

This is a small but fun museum that you will find at 68 S. 100 E. It’s open from 11 AM until 3 PM most days of the week. On Wednesday, they open from noon until 5:30 PM. They are closed on Sunday and Monday.

This beautiful house documents the history of the area, and many donations have allow them to outfit the museum to look exactly as a home would’ve looked in pioneer days. The staff are very knowledgeable and ready to answer questions. Check out the Brynder Pioneer Museum today!

Western Mining & Railroad Museum

If you have a railroad enthusiast in your family, head over to 294 South Main St. in Helper, UT, just seven miles up 191 from Price. This is an impressive little museum that documents the history of the railroad in this area and everything that the railroad brought with it, including schools, commerce, and more. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and your kids will love the running train model.
