Ford Mustang

1. Performance

The entry-level engine is a 2.3-liter turbo-four that delivers 310 horsepower in EcoBoost mode or 330 with the High Performance package. There’s also the Coyote 5.0-liter V8, checking in at 460 horsepower in standard GT form or 480 horsepower in Mach 1, both with a torque of 420 pound-feet. The GT500 has its own powertrain, a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 that kicks out an impressive 760 horsepower and 625 pound-feet of torque.

Each Mustang is rear-wheel drive and (minus the GT500) fitted with a 10-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmission. The 10-speed is designed for progression and performance while delivering quick upshift and downshift capabilities. Meanwhile, the class-exclusive active valve performance exhaust lets you select the volume, allowing for a quiet start early in the morning with a boost of sound for those weekend adventures.

2. Handling

The latest Mustang generation showcased an independent rear suspension. This, along with selectable power-assisted steering, improves the Mustang’s handling, enhances the ride quality, and delivers crisp, responsive performance on every drive. Additionally, the active damping system helps smooth out any bumps in your path. With a test drive, you’ll discover the Mustang delivers a comfortable and controlled driving experience.

3. Design

With 18 wheel styles, a range of seat trims, and other opportunities for customizability, there’s a Mustang out there made to fit you. This year, Ford is also debuting new and unique color options, including antimatter blue, carbonized gray, grabber yellow, and fighter jet gray. Meanwhile, the signature LED headlamps illuminate the night and help you make a big entrance.

The interior features accent-stitching in the center console, a heated steering wheel, and heated and cooled seats. If you really want luxury, spring for the leather-trimmed seating. For additional customizability, you can choose between gray, red, and blue stitching when you opt for the Premier trim.

4. Technology

The Sync 3 infotainment system has a sleek design and simple interface that makes it easy to make calls and play music. Additionally, your passengers can connect to the Wi-Fi hotspot and browse the web without burning up any smartphone data. The Mustang also comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, as well as Alexa and SiriusXM. With the kickin’ 12-speaker stereo system, your favorite music will turn every drive into an experience.

The Mustang also comes with various safety features, earning it a 5-star crash-test rating from the NHTSA. Pre-collision assist warns if a front-end impact is predicted, applying the brakes automatically if necessary. The lane-keep system helps you stay in your lane and steers you back between the lines if you start to drift. The blind spot monitor with cross-traffic alerts warns of vehicles approaching from the side and rear. The rear view camera also maximizes visibility behind you.

Whether you’re looking for outstanding performance, fun ride, or iconic style, the 2021 Mustang has everything you need to make a statement.
